What the AI does
The AI in Weamoro is optional. If you say yes:
- It gets to know each of you: your personality, what you want from life, your tastes.
- It talks with the two of you in your shared chat (there is no private chat between one of you and the AI), and plans your dates and trips with you.
- Now and then, it suggests things to do together. The only idea it gives to one of you alone is a gift idea for the other.
- If you also said yes to "Remember our calls", it listens to your own voice in your calls afterwards: it turns it into text, reads how things were said, and notes your plans and ideas. Your partner answers for their own voice. If one of you said no, that person's voice is never recorded, never turned into text and never read by the AI.
- It calls you by your first names, then by your nicknames once it hears them.
When Weamoro writes to you, you are talking with an AI, not a person.
Who helps behind Weamoro
- Anthropic, Claude
- Understands you two. Talks with you in your shared chat, builds your plans, reads the text of your calls. Receives what you share with Weamoro, your answers and the text of your calls.
- ElevenLabs, Scribe
- Turns what is said on your calls, and your dictation, into text. Receives the sound.
- Google, Gemini
- Checks that text against the sound, and hears the tone of voice. Receives the sound and its text.
- LiveKit
- Carries your calls. The call server records each voice in its own file, and only the voice of a person who said yes. Receives your calls.
ElevenLabs and Google are reached through OpenRouter.
What the AI never does
- It never shows your partner your private answers or what it learned about your personality.
- It never singles out a private desire of one of you to the other.
- It never talks about your couple to anyone else.
- It never sees your faces in a video call. It uses the sound only.
- It never says there was a fight.
- It never writes your messages for you and never tells you what to say.
- It never decides for you. It shows where you match and where you differ, and you draw your own conclusions.
Your yes, and how to take it back
- The AI. At sign-up, a screen names each service above and what it does. Weamoro sends nothing to them before you tap "I agree". You can also tap "Not now": the AI features stay off (no AI in your chat, no plans or ideas made for you, nothing learned from your calls), and the rest still works: chat, calls, your journal with your partner. Saying no never blocks the app. You can say yes later, or take this yes back, in Settings, AI and listening.
- Remember our calls. Asked once, with "Yes" and "Not now". Calls work either way. You can turn it off at any time in Settings, AI and listening. Your answer is about your own voice: if you say no, your voice is never recorded; if your partner says yes, their own voice is still kept for them. During a call, both of you see a red dot and the word "REC" whenever any voice is recorded, and a short sound plays at the start. Tap it to see whose voice is kept. Each of you can stop the recording of your own voice.
- Feelings in your voice. The same screen tells you that Weamoro reads feelings in your voices, like joy, sadness or anger. The law calls this emotion recognition (EU AI Act, Article 50). It is only a guess from the sound (see "Tone of voice" below).
- The sound of a call is deleted once its text and tone are checked, unless you chose to keep it where the app offers this.
- Each yes is saved with its date and the version of the text you saw.
Encryption, honestly
Everything travels encrypted. To do their work, our server and these services read what they receive. So this is not end-to-end encryption.
Tone of voice
Weamoro reads how things are said on calls: pitch compared to your usual voice, pace, loudness, pauses, laughs, sighs. These are measures of the sound. From them, the AI guesses feelings, like joy, sadness or anger. This is emotion recognition, and we tell you before your first remembered call. What the AI "hears" are guesses, never facts about your feelings, and they can be wrong. It happens only on remembered calls, and only on the voice of a person who said yes. Weamoro does not use your voice to identify you.
The AI can be wrong
Weamoro gives ideas and readings, not professional advice. It is not a therapist, not an emergency service and not a safety service: it sends no alerts and does not step in. If you are in danger, call local emergency services.
